Who is considered a blue blood ?

Lord'a mercy. Even the daftest fans of both programs know that Iowa's overall success pales in comparison to Nebraska's.

Yeah, what UNL has done from the early 60s throughout the entirety of the 90s was remarkable. The hardware was real and cannot be taken away. But today's Nebraska is like Sears and Roebuck competing with Amazon or Walmart - they're one-time giants that refused (or simply were unable) to adapt with the changing times while others thrived at their expense.
You could get away with a lot in the remoteness of Lincoln, Nebraska before everything everywhere became digitally connected and visible. Tom Osborne put together quite a system.

‘quite a system‘
Did you mean to omit ‘criminal’ before system?
As in Osborne sold his character, soul and ethics in a criminal system to try and beat Switzer

I feel kinda bad about my earlier comment now. The OP had intended for this to be a conversation about present day blue bloods, and now it’s been hijacked into a thread about non-blue bloods like Bowling Green and Nebber. Sheesh.

You seem to be an expert on Blue Bloods. Could you give me your criterion on what constitutes a Blue Blood? I am very curious about it and you could clear it up for all of us. Please give specifics, not just the wins are current and they cannot include Nebraska. Who knows, someday Iowa could be one.

There are 8 Bluebloods that will ALWAYS be Bluebloods.
Ohio State
Michigan
Alabama
USC
Notre Dame
Texas
Oklahoma
Nebraska

You don’t lose blueblood status
You do if you go a few decades of crappy football. Army, Minnesota and a few others used to be bluebloods early on. My point: Nebraska better start getting it rolling again soon.
