Sure, the guy is a blowhard if he isn't coaching your team. That said, I'd take a coach in a heartbeat that demands excellence from his players, sets high goals, and puts every ounce of energy in to recruiting.

We got Kirk which is perfect for this university. Classy got that produces on and off the field. The players luv him and play hard for him. I may be in the minority but I feel like we are really lucky to have him. Wouldn't ask for anyone else. Carry on Kirk and keep blocking out the haters
KF is a great person and a very classy representative of the University of Iowa.....no doubt about that. That doesn't mean that he can't step outside himself and try some new twists. Recruits are always watching and many don't want to be part of a relatively stodgy program.....they dig the "cool" stuff (as they perceive it) and often times "we" are late to the party or skip it all together.
KF is absolutely a class individual and there couldn't be a better representative of the program and University. He needs to be more open minded when it comes to some things that he doesn't dig but are also things that recruits are talking about all the time. As far as X's and O's.....our coaching staff needs to be more creative to mitigate the weaknesses we have. If I had the time, I'd love to evaluate what UCLA's coaching staff schemed to bottle up Christian McCaffrey last night and compare that to what our staff did for the Rose Bowl.
At least somebody on the team would be blocking.

The job he has done in his second year...wow. He is a sensational coach. I remember this board comparing Michigan and Harbaugh to Brady Hokes start...safe to say now, there is no comparison. Championships are in Michigans future. Maybe not this year...best rest assured, they are coming...10 point favorites over a great Wisconsin team? Amazing.
His accomplishments thus far at Michigan don't impress me because it's Michigan. He'd struggle far more where top flight recruits weren't kicking the door down. I'm also not impressed by his childish antics on social media or his inability to control his mouth. Jim Harbaugh is a pompous jackass. Amazing coach or not. I'd take Kirk any day of the week.

Did his accomplishments at Stanford and San Francisco impress you? They sure did me.
