Lions aren't going anywhere this year. I'd rather see Seattle at 1-3 then Detroit at 0-4.
Seattle sure gets the benefit of late game calls on Monday nights on their home field.

It was no shock when I heard Tirico say that Stafford-led Lions have never beaten a team with a winning record on the road. That is futility.

It's simple. Don't fumble at the goal line and you don't have to worry about the refs missing that call.
I don't think anyone knew about it. I knew you probably shouldn't bat the ball at the goal line, but I didn't know what it would mean.

Like stated, the Lions still fumbled at the goal line. Also, it is not like there was a Lion player that was close to recovering the fumble
Dumbest excuse ever for missing that call and frankly I'm tired of hearing it. A rule was broken and the flag was suppose to be thrown, plain and simple, no if and or buts about it. Its the officials job to throw a flag when a rule is broken, we can't let them select which rules should be enforced or the whole system crashes down.
I am sure those that had the Lions straight up, weren't saying that. The number at game time was +400 and on live betting, well over +1000.

But if the flag was thrown, all the talk today would be about a stupid rule that protects people fumbling at the goal line
and it would have been the correct conversation. If there was pass interference on the 2 on a 4th and goal we wouldn't say it shouldn't be called because the play wasn't going to be a touchdown. If the rule is on the books call it.
It's no way protecting the fumbling team. It's the intentional part of the bat is what makes it a penalty. Without an intentional bat, if it goes out of the endzone it is still Seattle ball. Don't know why he didn't just cover it.
I'd rather people argue a correct call made because of a dumb rule than a blatant no call by the refs. NFL officials are destroying the game. I haven't seen a well officiated game this year.
