The ball was purposely batted out, and that is a foul. Detroit should have gotten the ball back 6 inches from the goal line.
That should make some Detroit fans happy.

Lol make nfc North fans happy.
More "home cooking" for the Seahawks. The Packers can relate. The ball was purposely batted out, and that is a foul. Detroit should have gotten the ball back 6 inches from the goal line.

It was no shock when I heard Tirico say that Stafford-led Lions have never beaten a team with a winning record on the road. That is futility.Finding new and interesting way to lose since 1957.
BTW this doesn't crack the top five of crazy, Lions "Black Swan" moments to lose a game...which is so so so sad.
This.Lions aren't going anywhere this year. I'd rather see Seattle at 1-3 then Detroit at 0-4.
That call was missed...but you can not fumble the ball on the 6 inch line. Especially when even a FG would have tied it up. Credit to the Seattle defense for making a huge play.
I don't think anyone knew about it. I knew you probably shouldn't bat the ball at the goal line, but I didn't know what it would mean. That call was missed...but you can not fumble the ball on the 6 inch line. This.
It's simple. Don't fumble at the goal line and you don't have to worry about the refs missing that call.
Dumbest excuse ever for missing that call and frankly I'm tired of hearing it. A rule was broken and the flag was suppose to be thrown, plain and simple, no if and or buts about it. Its the officials job to throw a flag when a rule is broken, we can't let them select which rules should be enforced or the whole system crashes down.Like stated, the Lions still fumbled at the goal line. Also, it is not like there was a Lion player that was close to recovering the fumble
lions covered either way so who really cares

But if the flag was thrown, all the talk today would be about a stupid rule that protects people fumbling at the goal line
Never said anything close to what you are claiming.

I'd rather people argue a correct call made because of a dumb rule than a blatant no call by the refs. NFL officials are destroying the game. I haven't seen a well officiated game this year.Never said anything close to what you are claiming.
