Illinois will likely lose to Northwestern but if they beat the nerds, Iowa will beat Illinois by 20+.

They can’t score and they can’t stop anyone from scoring. We’re one of the worst matchups for them of any team in the league.

Haven't Illinois or NW knocked Fran out of BTT around 4 or 5 times? What is Fran's record in BTT? I'm guessing around 2 wins, 8 losses?

Illinois has a one big. If he can stay out of foul trouble, I could see them beating Iowa. NW has two bigs and is due for win vs Iowa.
The neutral court means no big foul advantage for Cook/Garza, so Iowa actually has to make post feeds without turnovers and not miss bunnies to make either team pay.

Iowa mentally and physically is soft. Nothing good comes to soft teams in March. I am not a Fran fan by and stretch and think he should have been canned after last season but the players have some ownership in this too. What a weak a** way to go out. Reminds of that team that made it to the play in game and got smoked by Tennessee.

This same Iowa team beat Illinois handily in the BTT last year, and absolutely embarrassed them in the regular season this year.

They can’t handle our size and don’t rotate well enough to stop JW or JB. Plus Moss always goes off on Illinois for some reason.

If we get Illinois, we win big (again).

Then, I can't wait to see Barta's fat face and stupid smile on my TV saying, "Yeah, our current head coach is the only one to EVER lose a Thur BTT game to a #12 seed, AND the only one to EVER lose a Thur BTT game to a #13 seed, AND NOW is the only one to EVER lose a Thur BTT game to a #14 seed. Yet, I feel very confident in the state of the basketball program and must say I couldn't be happier with myself with the Fran hire AND extension."

True. It was 78-65 in OT. Did not recall it being that close so my error.
