Big corporations corrupt the system to have laws written in their favor to screw smaller businesses and the people. So they are dependant on the government to rig the game for them.

HROT, has really brought out another side of me. Although I've always been a sarcastic ass.
The successful today are more dependant ON the government than at any time in human history, especially the hard working self made variety. The government not only doesn't take their wealth away completely, they prevent the peasants and other governments from doing it. Maybe the generational nobles kept their shit back in the day, but only until they pissed the wrong king off and if you weren't born into it, forget it.
Ironic that the government who pioneered the revolutionary environment that allows the freedom and upward mobility that we all take for granted is vilified mercilessly by the people who benefit most from the protections it provides. Humans are greedy as fvck. It's never enough. If the government actually squeezed the peasants as hard as the wealthy and their minions wanted, we might actually see them storm the gates and shit would get real.
The system is rigged, sure as shit, but it's an intentional balance struck. The ones truly running the show need the Dems and Pubs doing what they do so we don't ever swing too far, which would create mass chaos. We fight over stupid shit and move the needle inches while the richest control the big needles that build incomprehensible wealth. I'm not even mad, it's fvcking amazing.

They try harder, have more ambition, were more successful in school (due to those prior two), and don't blame others and don't quit when they fail.
