Why don't most religious folk actually take a full day of rest?

Well, what say you?

There are a lot of things that happened in the past that are different now. Businesses seem to disagree with you, although there are some noteable exceptions (Chik-fil-A, etc).
Are you saying that businesses are more profitable due to Sunday sales?
And, you are happy that employees now are required to work on Sunday?
Do you now profit by working on Sunday?

A) I don't know, but businesses seem to like it. Otherwise, why would they do it?
B) I don't really care one way or the other. It's a personal choice on what someone else wants to do with their Sunday.
C) No, I don't. If I work on Sunday I'm doing it for free.

Cute. You would spend the same in six days that you do in seven… unless your junky ass needs a Sunday fix that Saturday can’t produce.

I think most businesses should be closed on Sundays.

Not for religious reasons but to ensure that the majority of low wage workers get a consistent day off they can plan around.

Most European countries have that FWIW.

I had a temp gig at Fareway right after I graduated, loved being able to rely on having Sundays off.

Then I got into cooking at my schedule turned into a giant cluster****.

Not a big fan of the "WORK MORE AND IF YOU'RE TIRED KEEP WORKING MORE" mentality of the United States.
