It's tiring to here the phrase about you can't win in a state like Iowa. Iowa did a bunch of winning all through the 80s and early 90s. They were great for a few years in the early 2000s. We had great skill poison players in the 80s. Something like 6 first team Big 10 QBs in 12 years, Long, Hartlieb and Rogers. Also we had a lot of great running backs, receivers, and defensive backs. Maybe things have just changed, with all the camps and technology and Hayden did have a staff of aggressive recruiters. What makes me wonder is how does small private schools like Baylor and TCU win big? I know of the Texas talent but they were bottom feeders forever when Texas was just as talent rich. Not looking to piss anybody off, just wondering what happened?
