Wild first round at Div. III Nationals in C.R.

Three top seeds go down in first round Cornell's 149 Trevor Engle knocks of the #1 seed Arnold from Ursinus 7-5, Wartburg's #1 133 Connor Campo goes down 9-5 to Velez from Brockport and Coe's #1 at 165 Sewera loses 5-4 to Brummett of Wabash. Several other highly ranked wrestlers go down as well.

Would be nice to see the same script follow next week at Div. I Nationals (only for the PSU guys). The other favored Wartburg wrestlers all advanced. Devos wins by fall.

Thanks Big Fall nice tidbit. Trevor's brother won his first round match at 157 as well. Rooting for my Alma Mater Cornell wrestlers. I never had the luxury of wrestling nationals this close to home. Closest I got was at Augustana in Quad Cities. (other two were Trenton St./College of New Jersey and University of Buffalo). Also, rooting for Wartburg to win the title.

GG, sorry to say I could not make it up. It is killing me not to be there. Lots going on the flooding has affected family and work has been really bust making it tough to get away. I plan on making a trip up there in the next few months.

Funny story we went to big tens last weekend and Mayhab was Reffing on Mat 3 and Patrick was on mat one and he looked over like 100 times. Both great people just thought it was funny.
