Will Dix play in the NBA in 2025 or 2026?

Is he as good as Huerter of MD?

If so he should go but I hope I get to enjoy watching him operate out there for Hawks for another season.
Josh is better with the ball and a better defender.

Huerter is probably a little bit more athletic and better at catch and shoot.

Both excellent shooters.

I like Austin Reaves as a comp.

Well I never would have thought AJ Greene from UNI would play in the pros and yet he is. Right place right team who knows. 6-6 guard that can get his shot pretty much against anyone, will obviously struggle some guarding in the pros but I think he’s a better player than Greene.

I actually think his one on one defense is pretty outstanding but it gets lost in the near constant confusion of Iowas pick up game defense.

DIx has moved well ahead of Payton.

My guess would be Dix needs to start working out and gain some strength to be a good NBA player. He can dribble and finish with both hands and has that midrange game and step back/fade back shots and he also plays defense. He looks to be better prospect than JoeW. I don't think there are a lot of USA Born White 6'5 type dudes in NBA to compare. Dix looks better to me than Huerter did at Maryland but I think Huerter went pro after sophomore year? Dix looks better than Kris Murray to me. Kris didn't have the handles and could only go left and had benefit of Keegan doing so well. Kris was great college player but his skills are pretty common at NBA level.

I would mostly agree with this. IMO Dix is the most complete player of the Fran era with the exception of Keegan and that's mostly a length and strength issue.

Think Dix goes to the portal after this year to play on a better squad.

Creighton

Maybe, but I think they will have more money to offer. Decent donors, no other big sports.

I think as long as Fran is here Dix will stay or go pro.

That step back 3 is killer.

I think the same. No doubt he could have transferred last season. Fran keeping the offer following the leg break I'd guess means a lot to him.

Listen here, Mr. Grumpy! ;)

I think Mohawkeye & Notorious are right.

Here was Josh, on June 17, 2024, on why he didn't enter the transfer portal & potentially get paid HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS PER YEAR:

I think Dix is a nice player, but he has been a no-show many games this year. For a guy who has a big green light to score in Fran's offense, he needs to be a much more dominant player. To be an NBA player, you have to be one of the top 500 players in the world. 200 of those just ride the pines of NBA benches. Part of being in the NBA for fringe players is finding the right team and opportunity.
