lol, I’ve never seen anyone try to use end of season rankings for ranked wins instead of time of. That’s one (dumbass) way to look at it, I guess. Pretty much on par for you.

So you think preseason rankings mean just as much with zero body of work as postseason?

Indiana finished the 2021 season 2-10/0-9 and unranked.

Iowa State finished the 2021 season 7-6/5-4 and unranked.

Penn St. finished the 2021 season 7-6/4-5 and unranked.


But yeah, keep counting them as "ranked" wins. Lol.

Penn State unranked cause Jack Campbell destroyed their starting QB. Then showed their fancy 4 star backup maybe he wasn't ready for prime time.

Correct.....it counts IS when they play....not end of season or next season for that matter.

In theory I agree. I honestly would have canned him after the 2014 season but I would have been wrong to do so. At this point, I’m hoping he has one more great season (‘15, ‘09, ‘02-04) and goes out on a high.

End of season rankings should be all that matters. Being preseason number five team in county is meaningless if you finish the year unranked.
