From the current live feed, it looks like they have a long way to go to be ready for the opening game. I realize it won’t be completely done this year but just looking at it now, it seems like a stretch that any portion will be ready for use this fall.

I'm not sure with out knowing the schedule how anyone could answer this........they could be ahead of schedule for all I know??

I thought it has basically been announced that all the seating will be in place for the opener, and some of the bells and whistles will not.

Totally correct. But as a bit of a construction novice, it looks like a long way to go.

If the weather is good for construction they will have no problem getting the structure and seating ready to go for September. I believe they are going to finish the luxury boxes and plaza levels in phase two after the 18 season.

That's my understanding as well.

It sounded like all they had to do this year is replace the turf. What am I missing?

I'm a novice in construction also but I recently heard a comment that made a lot of sense. In construction in the Winter you work twice as hard and get half as much done.

I was going by Barta's video explaining the schedule. I thought he said this year folks will not notice much has changed, then next year the seats, and finally the box seats, etc. Come to think of it, maybe this video was from last year! :p

once they get concrete done on the lower bleachers and main level concourse, they can throw up the steel and finish the main structural stuff. That shouldnt take too long, however rare is the project that avoids set backs and unforeseen issues that need be resolved. The finished areas such as the Pacha club lounge can wait. Can't wait to see the finished project!

Well, once they unearth the legendary draft horses in that end zone things willl get in high gear. They'll bring her home at 1929 prices too.

About the same time, Shoeless Joe Jackson will emerge from the corn rows near the South end zone. He'll have a catch with Kirk at midfield. Kirk, predictably, will be overly emotional.

I thought it was a mule that died during construction back in '29 and buried under one of the end zones. Could be wrong though, I was just a lad at the time :)

You'll notice plenty different this fall. Like 10,000 new seats. Just not much else though
