Will Obama attend Nancy Reagan's funeral?

The ex-Presidents Club currently includes Jimmy Carter,
George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.
They will all be invited and welcome. Look for Obama
to give a eulogy for Nancy.

Hollywood film moguls are in mourning. Her special skill set will be greatly missed. FWIW, "that" skill set never made it to the big screen.

I am sure whatever he does, will be the wrong thing to do, according to many here.

Yep. If he doesn't go, the usual suspects will light him up for a lack of respect. And likely for the color of his suit.

And if he does go, Tradition will want to see an itemized hotel bill and the jet fuel invoice from Air Force 1. He thinks he can shave a few bucks by eliminating the Presidential M & Ms from the flight and serving RC instead of Coke.

Or may he can check Expedia.com and have Obama catch a United flight out of Dulles, connect via O'Hare, and ....

Old white women's lives don't matter to the pointy eared mutant freak...
I just wanted to criticize this post before IMCC beat me to it. Can't even let an old woman die in peace, Jake. Give it a rest for a couple of days.

He could just attend via skype. I don't know why anyone even leaves the house anymore.

she was into all this star gazing illuminati witchcraft stuff, methinks hills might be better suited to give the eulogy

l liked Queen Nancy...there was nothing critical in my post about her at all...you can bet the farm on that...my post was a "critical satire" of Obama and his obvious disregard for whites and traditional decency.

No doubt your sentiments were spurred by Nancy's affection for her gay hairdresser...still your sentiments showed great class and fwiw I also admired Liberace.
Thanks. Both Nancy and Liberace are both in that historical fog for me. I bet they would have gotten along.

Frankly I think the concept that posters here need to take time to honor the dead before we can comment is more than odd, but I'm playing by the rules.

These are the people that threw parties when her husband died, so why would they stop now?

You wanna call Hillary a crook, ok, it's a two way street.....Ms. Davis was so much more than "first lady. She made housecalls, too.................
It's too bad she passed but she lived 94 years...and many of those years she did not say, "No!" to anyone. But the press never mentioned that, either.

Jake's self loathing aside in this thread, there are interesting dynamics in this funeral. First, I supposed there is a family component. Nancy Reagan was a national figure, but the family could say they want it to close friends and family. Unlikely. I think they know the history of this. Plus, I think Nancy loved big productions and would like some glamor on the way out. Who wouldn't.
What is more interesting to me is would Bill and Hillary attend? Tradition would have a former president or first lady attend. With George Bush , Sr., Barbara Bush, Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter all over 90 and some in ill health it may be too difficult for them to attend and be out in a public event like this? Does it fall more on Bill and Hillary, George Jr., and Laura to attend with the Obama's? But, if Hillary attends to people say she's politicizing something?

You bet Obama's attending. He'll be the guy wearing the Ronald Reagan mask.

I don't even remember the thread. But on one of the many shooting threads it was stated that any response but Ts and Ps after a tragedy was just not acceptable. It's very important that strangers on HROT quietly morn in peace for 3 days before anything of substance can be said. I follow them because it serves my purposes to make this PC convention evident.
