Perhaps I've missed it, however watching film and highlights from this year we seem to run fairly well out of shotgun and zone read. Opposing DE's seem to be crashing like crazy on the play, would seem prudent for Nate to keep one in the right situation for a big gainer...

I think Stanley has played great but he is so slow. I wouldn’t doubt he could rip some yards off but he isn’t very mobile. From what we’ve seen.
has it ever occurred to you that BF nor KOK don't want him to run? after seeing JR and CJ getting hurt the last few years and with a revamped OL just maybe they are limiting his running? Iowa doesn't want nor need a QB that runs for 100+ ypg
last year CJ had zero carries for zero yards vs the 2015 season where CJ had 100 carries for 237 yards.

I don't think he's as slow as we think(I mean he's not fast tho lol) but I think his strides are insanely long making him appear slow he also seems super hesitant to run sometimes where it looks like he starts stutter stepping
Watched Peyton Mansell's tape again last week - now there is a QB that can scoot .... and he didn't mind taking on defensive backs once down field. Haven't seen a QB at Iowa with that kind of running ability since Brad Banks IMO.
...just checked his high school stats. Mansell rushed for 1129 yards on 165 carries and 15 TDs his senior season. Also threw for 33 TDs. I don't know the exact definition of "dual threat" but Mansell would have to be included.

ESPN stats have CJ with zero carries and ESPN is easier to access. so not EVERY Site has him as having 83 carries as you imply. you should go look, but they do show CJ getting sacked 30 times, why are you alway's lying by trying to make it look like I am the one hating on the players and coaches?Every statistic site on the internet will show you're wrong.
