I expect some flogging here as a Badger fan...but desperate times call for desperate measures.

We're a group making our annual Badger road trip to Iowa City this year. Excited that the game is at night and can't wait to be under the lights at Kinnick and around the stadium all day.

We are going to be taking a party bus in and looking to tailgate - I'm posting here in search of some local knowledge of where we'll find a spot that allows the bus to park and us to tailgate.

I've seen some donor lot RV passes for sale, but the university has told me those are for true RVs only and busses are not allowed.

They said there are public lots (Lots 55, 71, or 85) that will allow us, but I assume those will fill up quickly as they open up at 6a...

So, I appeal to you Hawkeye Nation, any ideas for me? If we make it, anyone is always welcome for a beer and brat.

A great option is the 410 E Washington St Lot. It is a short walk to the stadium with indoor rest rooms and friendly hosts. I hope that you have a more enjoyable time than my last trip to Madison when Iowa ruined Barry's farewell. It was fun having beer cans thrown at you as an Iowa fan. Also, heard some interesting combinations of vulgar words by very intelligent red clad humans.

Your best bet is to stay in Wisconsin.

Are these badger fans who will yell asshole at every hawk fan they see? I mean, I have been to Madison.

Badgers are a nasty group. But their women are the loosest in the Big Ten!!! :D:D:D:D

Hawkeye Lot or Hancher are free lots and busses are OK there. There are shuttle busses from both. I don't know the particulars on when they run. Hawkeye is about two miles from the stadium depending on the route you take walking. Hancher is a little over a mile. Hancher fills up sooner.

Hancher starts running shuttles up towards Kinnick 3 hours before kickoff. Not sure about the Hawkeye Lot.

Not sure the name of the lot but the grass lot on the Coralville strip across from the vine is a great tailgating spot and I’ve seen plenty of buses there. It’s a good 15 minute walk to the stadium though. We tailgate there often and if the weather gets bad you just go across the street to The Wig and Pen or to the Vine.

In Iowa they allow buses to park at any place you see this sign:

Feel free to park in front of the stadium at one of these signs.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that it is a free lot.
