Wisconsin starting to put it together

Badgers got a pretty tough draw in their B1G schedule this year. 2 with Purdue, MSU, Indiana, and Maryland and at Iowa. Almost as bad as their football schedule next year. Should help them in the tourney if they make it though.

We need to stop talking about rebounding if we're using the IU game as a example. FT shooting is fair game, but there's an extremely obvious reason we rebounded poorly against IU and it's being overlooked by the fans who are citing the box score. IDK why, but we played a ridiculous amount of zone against Indiana. We played 2-3 for almost the entire first half against Indiana and I wish I knew why. In case you didn't know, it's more difficult to grab defensive rebounds when you're playing zone (it's also easier for the opponents to find good looks from 3).We didn't play any man until the start of the second half and we switched back to zone after Fran subbed for the starters. When IU visits Carver, I would bet that we see a lot more man.

Did Wisconsin have several key injuries earlier in the year and/or young players developing or something?

Trying to figure their recent win streak. They have beaten some good teams...

Still they basically need to win out to make the NCAAs. But that ain't happenin, as They are going down in 10 days!!! Would love for the Hawkeyes to help knock them out of the tournament.

WI does NOT need to go 14-4 to make the dance....
For all we know that could win the conference!

A large reason we were playing zone is they were carving us up early in the man-2-man with dribble penetration and dumping the ball into Bryant. It was a layup fest for Indiana early. It served the purpose of slowing them down over time. In previous meetings the zone had been very effective and caused Indiana Issues.

So either way it shows that we were not sharp. That's the real point and the disappointing fact. The guys had a golden opportunity to take control and coming into a big game they did not bring the same level of energy and professionalism they did earlier in the season. Is season fatigue or pressure a factor?

the unbalanced B1G schedule has been talked about....when you have 14 teams in conference..the fair thing to do is to go to 2 divisions..but the B1G office (Delaney) is more interested in making sure games are available for TV (ESPN & CBS)...

After today..Wisconsin & Michigan have the toughest schedule in the last 3 weeks..WISKY plays 3 road games against MichSt, Iowa & Purdue. Playing Wisconsin in Carver has me more concerned than playing Indiana on March 1st.
