You're right, it's not controversial until a white person says it about black girls.Jesus Christ.
Nothing she said is controversial.
Some people need to get a life.

To answer your other question, I’m defending her because I’m sick of this White Grievance nonsense in our country. We’ve seen where it gets us:guess who brought up race to begin with... the coach. talking about her players. how would you like to be described as run of the mill by your coach? i don't know why you are going out your way to defend her.
and btw, if you look at a LOT of bb rosters the white kids are a rarity.
Why would a white coach say black people are the most common race in our society? That wouldn’t make any sense. You're right, it's not controversial until a white person says it about black girls.
I personally don't see anything wrong with what she said. But it makes me wonder how other people would react if the shoe was on the other foot. Why would a white coach say black people are the most common race in our society? That wouldn’t make any sense.
But again, the shoe being on the other foot would literally mean a white coach saying black people are the most common race in our society, which wouldn’t make any sense. So what is there to wonder about?I personally don't see anything wrong with what she said. But it makes me wonder how other people would react if the show was on the other foot.
I agree. ^^ It was an inartful choice of words...but not really smackdown material. But I also wish that when any given white person also mumbles something equally inane that certain people don't lose their s#*$ trying gin up a controversy where none really exists.Run of the mill a poor choice of words, but I think some folks want to make something out of nothing. Point that diversity is a good thing.
You make a good point. A lot of people aren’t sophisticated enough thinkers to understand how they’re being manipulated by the media. They go from anger-making tweet to anger-making article to anger-making television show, not realizing it’s all just a way to distract them from the real issues our country is facing.I agree. ^^ It was an inartful choice of words...but not really smackdown material. But I also wish that when any given white person also mumbles something equally inane that certain people don't lose their s#*$ trying gin up a controversy where none really exists.
There is a whole industry these days that does little but try to whip up a controversy where nothing really exists so as to get "clicks". Relax people...there are 360 million people in this country...stupid things get said every day. Let her boss handle it with her...go back to your lives.![]()
You’re right that people don’t tend to wake up thinking of themselves as a certain race or gender, but the reality for many people is that these issues are forced into their life because of how people treat them due to their race, gender, sexuality, religion, age, disability, etc. People in marginalized groups don’t have to go looking for a fight because the fight so often comes to them. While the majority of the press wishes this wasn't true, most Americans don't wake up each day with their race or gender (or any other potentially divisive trait) at the forefront of their thoughts. Let's worry about our character and how we can make someone else's day better....everything will fall into place if we tried a few of those things.
Says what about black girls? You're right, it's not controversial until a white person says it about black girls.
True enough, but theres also a whole group of people who are constantly, and actively looking to stir up that fight.
Pretending these types of discrimination don’t exist is never going to be a solution. .
And the people constantly and actively looking to stir up that fight are so outnumbered by the number of people who suffer discrimination in silence as to make the former group statistically insignificant. Just because the assholes and attention-seekers are the most vociferous doesn’t mean they represent the larger group in any meaningful way.True enough, but theres also a whole group of people who are constantly, and actively looking to stir up that fight.

Standard standardIf Bluder said the same thing about black girls, she would be called racist .
Run of the mill poster whitesplaining racism to people.😂😂And the people constantly and actively looking to stir up that fight are so outnumbered by the number of people who suffer discrimination in silence as to make the former group statistically insignificant. Just because the assholes and attention-seekers are the most vociferous doesn’t mean they represent the larger group in any meaningful way.
Acting like the small percentage of people who overreact are somehow at the core of the issue entirely misses the point
To whom am I whitesplaining?Run of the mill poster whitesplaining racism to people.😂😂
Exactly - I’m the words of Al Davis - just win baby.sounds like the talking points of a coach of a terrible basketball program. Who the hell cares how diverse a team is.
And YET, not one thing I said was false. Grab someone else to tell your tale to. Not interested, in yet another long thread from the "oh woe is me crowd".......And the people constantly and actively looking to stir up that fight are so outnumbered by the number of people who suffer discrimination in silence as to make the former group statistically insignificant. Just because the assholes and attention-seekers are the most vociferous doesn’t mean they represent the larger group in any meaningful way.

It’s embarrassing to take this as literal in regards to population. But again, the shoe being on the other foot would literally mean a white coach saying black people are the most common race in our society, which wouldn’t make any sense. So what is there to wonder about?
It’s a false equivalency.
