Thinking of heading to Madison for the game and never been there before. Where's the best place to park, Hawkeye area for tailgating, and tickets before or scalp? Thanks!

Downtown garages is your safest bet for a space. 20mins walk to CRS. Bus is also available if you don't wanna walk.
Or you could try your luck along regent street/residential area south of regent), 10-20 bucks.
If you get there early, you could even try to park on a faculty/staff parking lot (Chem/Engineer/Physics/Physical Plant/Zoology/Geology/etc) for 20-30bucks.

CRS is situated in such a way that tailgating isn't really a big thing around the stadium. And I don't know where Hawkeyes fans tailgate, if they do. Many Badgers fans tailgate on Meriter Hospital's parking lot and along regent street.

Hope this helps.

With this forecast I’m scalping. Tons of bars on Regent street. That’s our plan
There was a thread on this yesterday. A good place to exchange tickets, etc,. is at the intersection of Dayton and Randall, by Union South, where the Hawkeye Huddle will take place.

Make sure if you park in a surface lot that you asked if you will be parked in. . .some lots do, most do not. Start on regent street before game. Go to square for coacktails and dinner (recommend old fashioned) then State Street for late night. Have fun and be prepared for drunk students to yell Iowa sucks and "who gives a **** about the whole state of Iowa" in your face.

Just got tickets tonight and staying at he Fairfield east. Is there a bar where Hawk fans plan on gathering? Getting into town around 11am and hopefully to bars by 11:30.
How’s traffic around Madison before games? Probably Uber or taxi to get to bars.
