A buddy of mine was sleeping off some booze in college when someone kicked in his front door. My buddy tackled the guy and started punching him.

It turns out it was his drunk neighbor that thought it was HIS house. He lost his key.

Imagine if my buddy had a gun and started shooting like John Wayne??? The neighbor would have been dead.

Your buddy was fortunate. 99.9% of the time when someone kicks in a front door the intent is to kill those inside the home. Your buddy was lucky this time, next time he tackles an intruder he will probably catch a case of the dead. Your buddy either needs to move or get a gun, anyone who kicks in doors is asking to get a case of the dead also.

Well since you're too stupid to understand that in the vast majority of gun related self defense cases no shots were ever fired and when they were no one died, there really isn't anyway you could ever understand what the facts are.

Using your logic, the police have killed nearly 1000 people in the US this year, therefor the police only used their guns 1000 times to stop a crime this year. Correct?
