Iowa a 3 seed facing the 14 seed American in their first NCAA appearance. The 6 is Washington with Miami the 11. Games are in Iowa City.

NW/Arkansas are the 7/10 and Baylor/NW State the 2/15

Good to see they got the 3 seed. Really hope they play up to their potential, They could go on a nice run if they do.

I understand UCONN is the gold standard and has been for years but damn their coach comes off as an arrogant ass.

Missed the original selection show, but on the ESPNU show on now, they just announced that Iowa leads their online poll as the team most apt to make a run in the tourney.... Go ladies!

Parity in the women's game is slowly starting to work it's way in however there's always about 6 teams that are just better than the rest regardless of off - nights or things of that nature.you just don't see all the surprise upsets in the women's tournament like in the men's. (Though they have had a 16 beat a 1)


Good draw for Iowa. Definitely a shot at the Sweet 16 and if Iowa State can beat Baylor, then Iowa can certainly contend. Still, they will have to overcome their history but at least they'll get to host the first two games.
