I could buy into that. I do think he could leave for a lesser program and come back. But keeping him happy maybe the better path.

we have a pretty deep coaching bench. next man in. if woods leaves no doubt budmayr will pick up right where he left off

Woods is a guy you don't wanna lose. Great position coach, great recruiter that players and they high school coaches like and respect...and he gets the Iowa brand.

I would be willing to lean into him but on the flip side how many head coaches came in with no HC, DC or OC experience. Maybe there are many, I don’t know for sure.
