There's only so much film you can watch. I'm sure Gonzaga would prefer the game and practice reps.

Film in basketball is not the same as film in football. Basketball not only ain't rocket science, it ain't even football science. Move your feet, block out, play hard. That's pretty much the game plan for everybody all the time.

Gonzaga is well rested. So is Iowa, having not played for six days. There should be no excuses on either side or from any talking heads. It's basketball. The team that plays better today will win. Period. End of story.

Then the season will continue for both teams and we'll see if they might meet again at tourney time.

Mark Few was full of crap when he talked about their conditioning being bad.....I’m guessing there was some practicing while they were “shut down”....

Few already knows what Fran does. If you make your 3ball vs Iowa, you are probably going to win because you get as many looks as you want and the perimeter defenders don't have much ability to pressure.

Gonzaga blew us out in NCAA tourney a few years ago and game was over in 1st 5 minutes. This game, at least Iowa fought back a little because they have Garza.

The break clearly helped them prepare and rest up for #3... it’s too bad it worked in their favor.

I'm sure they isolated the people/players that were effected with the virus and those that remained virus free, continued to practice own their own. They had a good game plan and Iowa went away from their bread and butter in the 1st half and that was the difference in the game.
Luka is Iowa, and avoiding going to him during the time Gonzaga pulled away was Iowa's down fall. Live and learn....

As well as the Zags shot from 3....we're still right there if we hit a reasonable percentage from the free throw line and keep them off the offensive glass just a little bit. Just think if we hit 70% from the FT line, grab 3 more defensive rebounds, and hit just 30% from 3........and all of those are easily achievable....none of that is out of the norm. In fact it's below our average in terms of those shooting percentages.
