Would you buy a Heisman Trophy?

Could have bought one at FryFest. Or mini Heartland and trophy.
Buy a mini Heartland Trophy and then go to Madison and steal the actual one, replacing it with the mini replica and attach a note to it that says, "Because f*** Wisconsin. That's why...."

Unfortunately, buying or stealing one seems like the only ways the Heartland is coming back to Iowa.

Yeah but it's also staying, so Wisconsin can f***ing beat us all they want. They aren't getting their trophy back, and no they would not, nor ever, just tell us we can keep it, either.....

As tempting as $400,000 would be, I would like to think if my grandfather had won the Heisman we as a family would donate the trophy back to the school. Ideally in exchange for a lifetime of season tickets in the club seats.

There you go.

I wouldn't have any interest in owning someone else's Heismann personally. But, it would be great to have NK's trophy prominently displayed at his namesake stadium. Would only add further to the aura of the place.

Yes, I would buy a Heisman.

I would give it to Mrs. Herk for Christmas.

She would put it in the closet with all the other hated gifts I've given her.

I’d like to have a miniature Floyd of Rosedale

There's a Hawkeye store in the downtown mall in Iowa City that sells a scale model of Floyd. I didn't bother to check the price, but it's available. And I'm confident that it's less than $400,000.

I think they are $100 for the good one.

Buying a Heisman Trophy, or a world/national championship ring, doesn't seem right somehow. It may be in your possession but it's not yours.

Going further, more extreme case, I would not buy a Congressional Medal of Honor. It just wouldn't be right (to me).

Didn't a teenage girl steal $165,000 worth of rings from Scott Frost's garage? Why buy it (or actually win it) when you can just steal it?
