Win the big 10, so what do you WIN Indiana?

A 5 seed! A game against Kentucky to even make it to the 2nd weeked! THEN, a game against UNC!

Wow, they......got......bent.......

Sort of feel bad for them they got screwed over so bad. They deserved better.

That's all.

I was listening to Palm the other day on Fox Radio and he stated that he committee does not even look at conference standings. They look at your record and that's it. He thought the committee would reward the small schools who went out and scheduled tough, I guess he was wrong about that. Top 50 wins was the criteria this year, and that's why some teams got in.

I just do not understand how you can have different criteria from year to year. I feel bad for those small schools who played 30+ games and then had their NCAA dreams dashed all because of 1 game. I am sorry but Syracuse, Michigan, Tulsa, Vandy, and WSU do not deserve to be in the field. Tough break for a team like Monmouth who beat ND, USC, and UCLA (when they were ranked). They didn't get credit for a top 50 win, because UCLA sucked. How is that monmouth's fault?

Don't feel bad. IU sucks.

Out of PU, IU and Maryland it wouldn't surprise me at all if any or all three made the elite 8.

They really forced the Kentucky/Indiana (potential) match up. Kentucky probably should have been a 3, Indiana a 4. A case could be made for several 4/5 seeds to have been 4's or 3's. Miami, Utah and Texas A&M could have just as easily been 4's or 5's IMHO.

Brutal, but as mentioned elsewhere - Indiana hurt themselves early in the year. They stunk, so they will have to deal with it. It does give them a great (potential) opportunity against a rival.

I like Iowa's chances to see the second weekend - will be pulling for them.

Yeah, agree with those small schools. I mean, how the heck do you keep those kids (teams motivated) during the season, when the games mean absolutely nothing?

All about being hot and winning the last 2-3 games in your end of the year tournament. The regular season means absolutely nothing.

Why I would rather go by regular season champion gets the bid or something.

Yeah, that is what Cowturd was out their spouting today. That the tournament committee knows they are basically creating a reality TV show now with this tournament and all their decisions are based because of that.

I am not sure I go that far.

Personally, I don't think a Kentucky / Indiana matchup is that wonderful and what everyone wants to see, unless people want to see Indiana lose.

Small schools should understand they are nothing more than an interesting story every once in a while. If they want to be more than that they need to join a bigger conference.

Im not sure Kentucky would be favored.

I would expect IU to win this one. Calipari was on TV bitching about this matchup, I don't think he feels very good about it.

Ulis vs Yogi should be very interesting. Ill bet Yogi gets the better of that matchup. It could really screw up Ulis having a guy whos his height but quicker and stronger guarding him.

I disagree, I think UK wins and that Ulis is as quick or quicker than Yogi and a better player and with Murray and Briscoe also there I definitely like UK in that matchup. Front court matchups would be interesting tho.

As far as smaller conferences, I'm not a fan of cinderella stories; wouldn't mind a tourney with all P5 and Big East teams tbh.

I thought Calipari was actually well spoken and funny about it. He basically said that other teams were being punished by Kentucky being seeded so low. And he's right.

If it really is just reality TV, wouldn't Monmonth and St. Mary's, etc be better for reality TV than a couple more major coffee nice also rans?

B1G computer is who screwed IU with such an easy conf schedule, as far as seeding is concerned. Now the 2 game jump it gave them on the other contenders, did help them win a conf championship
