"Ever since I started wrestling I've learned a few things. I've learned self discipline. Ive learned how to keep fighting when I felt like I wanted to give up. I've learned how to work for what I want. I've learned how to respect my opponents. The most important thing is, it taught me that I could accomplished things that I didn't think I could accomplish. I know some of you might think wrestling isn't a tough sport or things, but trust me it is. It will literally have you in tears because you still got one more pound to go or you have one more sprint. But it also teaches you life lessons that you can’t learn from other sports. This weekend are districts and this is a pretty important tournament. Especially for a girl like me because most girls don’t go to state. When I started wrestling I didn’t fall in love with the sport like I have. But anyways I’ve worked so hard to be where I am now and I gotta use everything I got for this tournament. I just wanna say that this sport can break you down but you just gotta keep fighting. Good luck to all the (Evansdale) wolves this weekend. I hope you all do good and fight until the last whistle."
