Fix looked good. Wonder if we see Fix at 61 for non Olympic years from here on.Fix with a tf over Gross

Colon will have NATO in the semis. I’m liking his chance to make the finals.Colon over Garrett 13-12
No…Apparently they are trying to convince him that getting beat by Spencer while wearing a white belt and helping PSU win a team title should be his ultimate collegiate goal.Suriano loses to NATO. This is the guy people think will beat Spencer this year?
So much for him thinking he's the best in the world, lol. No…Apparently they are trying to convince him that getting beat by Spencer while wearing a white belt and helping PSU win a team title should be his ultimate collegiate goal.
I hope so. He's too big for 57 imo. He looked terrible at trials and I think holding his weight also hurt him at NCAAs. It's also hard to improve when your weight is always your number 1 focus. He hasn't shown much evolution the past few years.Fix looked good. Wonder if we see Fix at 61 for non Olympic years from here on.
Happy we have some good wrestling discussion on here again. Place has been pretty slow for a while. I guess there's not much to discuss when you have the entire national championship team returning!@js8793
Glad you made it over here. I always appreciate your takes, especially on the freestyle side.
BTW, in regards to your posts on BWI, I had similar thoughts about if we were seeing Imar in his last competition.
In response to Imar being done, I speculated he was done when he accepted the job at Oregon St. Obviously he has still competed since then but he hasn’t been the same. Plus injuries.@js8793

Yeah a lot of guys have to cut a ton of weight to make 65. JO, Zain, and Green all back up at 70. Only 6 guys in the 65 bracket.JO and Zain both at 70?
Agree. He's looking good so far. Those last few lbs to get to 57 can take a lot out of a guy.
And lost to Gross too. Suriano’s very good and will be competitive in every match he wrestles. Just don’t think he has the offense to consistently beat the elite guys. There was a year or two that Fix looked damn good offensively. Combine that with his counter stuff that can get to voodoo-like levels, which he’s always been good at. But the offense faded. Can he get it back?
Suriano has difficulty at these tourneys…lost to Vito a few years back and Nato today. Expected more after all of his training and how he looked the past year. But I don’t underestimate him…he’s a stud who will contend for whatever he goes after.
Expected to see Green there. 65 def too small for him. But even in non-Olympic years, JO and Zain have been 65ers. Of course they are no spring chickens anymore.Yeah a lot of guys have to cut a ton of weight to make 65. JO, Zain, and Green all back up at 70. Only 6 guys in the 65 bracket.
Tough break for Pantaleo. He was was wrestling better than he ever has recently.Green gets the w over JO.
Pantaleo inj defaults to Deakin. Had volume off, but looked like ribs.
