You come up on a vehicle that’s driving 5-10 mph under the speed limit.

What is it?

Someone who is on the road and will never ever trust that newfangled cruise control voodoo (and never learn how to maintain any speed) is normally who drives me the most crazy.
Without fail, any trip longer than 2 hours I will encounter someone that I end up passing/they pass me three or more times. typically seems to involve a woman or a cell phone, or both.

- Old farmer guy in his pickup

- Rural family that is completely freaked out by this newfangled big city drivin’

- African immigrants; I’m not talking 5-10 under the speed limit. More like 20+ under. It is alarming how fast you come up on someone driving that way, and it’s extremely dangerous when someone is on the road going that slowly.

I'll take "2003 Buick LeSabre with 17,000 miles" for $500 Alex.

Very few things annoy me more than this scenario. Drives me absolutely ****ing crazy.
For me it’s the driver, typically female that is driving on the interstate, go to pass and they start going the speed you are driving and continue accelerating since they aren’t using the cruise. By the time it’s all said and done, typically have to go 80 to 90 mph to pass them then once you do, they go back to their slow a$$ speed. It doesn’t make any sense but that’s what they do. Drives me crazy.

Very interesting biases come out in such a thread.

Very good for analysis and research.

Minivan is the only one in the running for both a 2 lane AND 4+ lane road.

Old people/pickup on 2 Lane roads, Prius on 4+ Lane roads, minivans...always a problem.

Subaru drivers are split - the non-WRX drivers are usually at or below the speed limit, but WRXs are usually insane
I got an outback and love letting er rip in the winter snow. Some nice snow tires and cruising at normal highway speeds in completely covered conditions laughing at all the jeeps and pickups in the ditch.

When I think of this I mostly think on the interstate and in that case it's a semi.

They can't necessarily help it. A lot of companies purposefully cap the top speed of their semis.

Slow down below the posted speed limit?
Was driving to work this morning behind a lady doing 30 in a 35 and thinking to myself. What a responsible safe person. No need to be in a hurry. You don't have to drive the limit, you just can't drive over the limit. Be safe everyone and have a Merry Christmas!

After driving around a bit last weekend, I motion to add '15-20 year old car that smells like weed' This also comes with swerving and random braking.
Edit: realized this has already been addressed
