Your all time Fran McCaffery team

Marble
Jok
Uthoff
White
Garza

Cook, Weiskamp, Basabe, Baer, and Bohannon on the bench.

Id take Gatens over Basabe with that group. JU can slide down to the four. Id pry replace Baer with Woody for another big to come in and foul in case we got in foul trouble. Wing is well covered with Marble, Jok, Wieskamp, and Gatens.

Branching off of the other threads, who would be on your all time Fran team?

PG: Jordan Bohannon
SG: Peter Jok
SF: Jarrod Uthoff
PF: Aaron White
C: Luka (duh)
That team would get scored on like no other. Uthoff is an ok defender with his blocks, but he's 6'9" trying to guard SFs. White is a fine defender and Luka can be ok if he doesn't have to worry about fouls. But you have two guards who would let their man get by them to the lane at will. That leads to the big men getting into foul trouble early.

I'd swap Marble in at PG to help provide some size and athleticism on defense. I'd also think long and hard about swapping Joe W in for Jok. Joe and JBo off the bench could be great for offense. Two shooters that could get hot and rack up points in a hurry.

Yeah, forgot about Gatens. I think I'd take Basabe over Woodbury because Woodbury was more of a lane blocker whereas Basabe provides a rim protector who blocks a lot of shots. I like having a more athletic big as a backup to Luka, but maybe I'd keep Basabe and add Woodbury to drop Cook. I'd miss those dunks, but Cook did turn the ball over a lot; didn't have the best hands.

So let's see.

Marble
Jok
Uthoff
White
Garza

Basabe, Woodbury, Gatens, Weiskamp, and Bohannon.

I'd like to choose a more athletic backup PG, but he doesn't turn the ball over much and provides an excellent 3-point specialist and end-of-game clutch performer off the bench.

EDIT: I need to swap out Weiskamp or Gatens for Baer. Both Gatens and Weiskamp are better shooters and scorers than Baer, but I want at least one Swiss army knife on my bench. I'd maybe take Keegan over Baer if he continues getting better (he should).

Everyone in that line-up can shoot all over the court. I think you have to have Marble in there for the defense.

The five first team all B10 guys under Fran. Weiskamp is the sixth man right now and could easily bump someone from this group with another year in Iowa city.

Would put up about 110 and give up 95.

I'd take that. +15 per game would be the highest per game pt differential in at least 60 years at Iowa, maybe ever. The most I could find was +13 in 97-98 and 86-87.

Starters:
Marble
Jok
Uthoff
White
Garza

Bench:
Bohannon
Cook
Wieskamp
Gatens
Woodbury
Baer

How awesome would that have been?

To edit my OP, I should put Marble in at PG over JBO. My bench would be the following:
PG: Bohannon
SG: Gatens
SF: Weiskamp
PF: Either Baer, Basabe, or Cook
C: Olaseni

Today, based on their career scoring points at Iowa

Garza..........2.246
White..........1,859
Marble........1,694
Gatens........1,635
Bohannon..1,625

All five of them are in the Top Ten Career Scoring
Leaders.
