Georgian came at him really hard, but Spencer kept her steady. These are good looks/feels for him to get.

David Carr (tech), Zahid (tech), and Michael McGee (8-6) advance. This is moving super fast and hard to follow. Glitchy stream too.
Good match for Spencer. The guy came out aggressive and SL had some great defense. He nearly got put on his back from a short fireman’s carry. We called it a Kelly back in the day.
It will be Spencer against RBY in the semis!
James Green over Alec Panteleo in a tight 4-3 victory. JG always makes me think about the stupid six Oly weights and get mad. He is medal caliber at the tweener weights but has been fighting to move around for Os, and I think it has hindered him.
RBY wrestled a solid match to beat Deshazer 6-2. RBY looks sucked down at 57, have to imagine this is a very tough cut for him.

If you count my dog, there's more people on my couch watching than paying spectators in the stands.
Zahid, Trent Hidlay, and Nate Jackson all advance to the semis with decisions. J. Jacques loses 4-3 to the Iranian after a nice long "injury" time out lunger. Really solid showing for JJ, beat a 2023 world champ and looked very competitive.
Carr with a 10-0 tech into the semis.

Spencer 6-3 over RBY. Stream cut out so I missed the first period, but it was 6-0 after the break. RBY kept the pace well and got a push out and late TD off of a scramble. RBY still explosively quick and dangerous. Spencer looked a bit tired in the 2nd but held position and wrestled smart. I'm glad he's getting these looks now.
Also, it's so dumb that our sport can't find a way to get this dreamed about match accomplished other than at 5am in an empty arena half the world away.

There have been a few guys that Spencer has wrestled where he definitely had the match in hand but didn't open up in Per2. Smart tactical match.
If there is a 2 Kg allowance that is a huge difference for RBY vs scratch weight. I can't see him being effective at 57 against the top guys.

NOT sure what you guys are watching??? I watched the video and although NONE of SLs scoring was shown???? It was 6-0 going into 2nd and SL was still pushing the pace and the ONLY one making shot attempts till well under a minute!!! The match was NEVER close in any way shape or form. SL was just wrestling smart at the end and I would guess KYBJelly was the more tired of the TWOOOOO!!!!

That match wasn't that close. RBY did very little. Spencer just didn't want to give up extra at the end to insure the win.
RBY was fortunate both takedowns of Spencer’s happened on the edge. The gut he had went over easy. Would have been a quick 10-0 if he had space
I don’t think he looked tired. Spencer did most of the work, and didn't fight the last TD too hard, since it wasn’t going to matter. Wrestled smart.
