Zero Pressure Tomorrow

It's funny too because Wisconsin fans are the biggest offenders of mocking Iowa for the Fran Fade and not being able to win in the BTT/March.

And we end the skid against them by beating them for the 3rd time in a season for the first time ever.

I f***ing love it..............because f*** Wisconsin, that's why.

Yup. No reason to sweat tomorrow at all. A loss to illini won't hurt their seed a bit. They have a 2 locked up.

Wow, giving up already? Come on!

Well, unless your goal is to win a Big Ten Title... Lot's on this board were calling for a national title.

I personally agree with you about no pressure but I am guessing our guys have higher expectations for themselves than most are putting on them.

I think Jordan having an off night, but still winning the game by being calm and his leadership in the end is actually a bonus.

Hopefully that helps the team stay loose tomorrow, knowing we don't have to bury each 3 to be in the game.

Great D, great 3rd win over **** Wisconsin.

That is true, but I also loved the fire he showed at the refs after they didn't call the moving screen on Potter. Didn't do enough to get a T, but made his point. Part of me thought it was kinda calculated, to try and get his teammates into the game more.

(not that it mattered, cause moving screens - on both ends - were allowed all game long. another one was committed by the same screener, on the same screenee, on the very next play)

Illinois has 11 quad 1 wins.... they are not falling off a 1 seed

how many does Iowa have? I honestly don’t know or even care that much... the only thing nice about potentially having a 1 seed is avoiding the Gonzaga or Baylor bracket. But eventually we’d have to beat one of these types anyway.

We have 8. If we beat Illinois and then win the title we would have 10 to Illinois 11. We would have the most recent H2H win. We would have a conference title. We would also have a one seed in the NCAA tourney. To think otherwise is just foolish.

ok, but what if Iowa beats Illinois but loses in the finals to either opponent?

Whoa, slow down Clone fan. We would have a conference tourney title. Still less Q1 wins, most recent H2H win means squat. We’d be looking at teams with very similar resumes.

I disagree. I don’t see any way Iowa jumps Michigan or Illinois for a #1 seed (unless one of them gets the Covid and has to withdraw).

The #1 seeds will be set before tomorrow. What happens from here on out in the BTT will have no bearing on seeding.
