Zero Pressure Tomorrow

I disagree. I don’t see any way Iowa jumps Michigan or Illinois for a #1 seed (unless one of them gets the Covid and has to withdraw).

The #1 seeds will be set before tomorrow. What happens from here on out in the BTT will have no bearing on seeding.
Baylor lost last night and is currently 5th in Kenpom's rating. If Iowa ends up 2 or 3 in NET ranking how does the committee NOT give them a 1 seed?

Iowa isn’t jumping Illinois, even if they win today. Illinois’ resume is too good. The BTT title game tomorrow is irrelevant as far as seeding goes. Iowa will not jump Baylor because the committee will not give 3 Big Ten teams a #1 seed.

How much does NET matter? Sometimes a lot, sometimes not at all. Take a team like Okie St for instance. #26 in the NET rankings and they are being talked about as a 2 seed. They do have, I believe, the second most Q1 wins. It’s kind and pick and choose with the committee what matters to them the most

Whoa, slow down Clone fan. We would have a conference tourney title. Still less Q1 wins, most recent H2H win means squat. We’d be looking at teams with very similar resumes.
I have no clue what you’re trying to accomplish by calling me a clone fan, maybe you’re drunk already? Anyway if we win the conference title we are a 1 seed. It’s really not even close. I believe Illinois would have us on only one metric. That would be 11 quad one wins Vs 10 quad one wins. Two tough games still to go to make that happen but it would be great if they can make it happen.

Bet?

Calling you a Clone fan was a joke because they always conveniently leave the word “tournament” when talking about conference titles.

I guess it’d probably be tough to jump Michigan or Illinois, but I think that Iowa would have an argument in winning out. They would be in the conversation as far as Q1 wins go, get a lot of love from NET rankings/Kenyon, winners of 10 of their last 11 games, and tournament champions/playing the best current basketball in the most difficult conference

I agree. Nothing really to lose or gain today, except maybe some confidence. That’s one of the main reasons I’m against conference tournaments. The tournament should not trump what a team has accomplished over a 20 game league schedule.

Not so fast.....beat IL in the semi & then beat MI (probable opponent) in the B1G championship game, IA will be in the one seed conversation....IMHO.
I agree. This would mean we would have split with them over the season having played both of them on their home courts during the season. (Assuming OSU doesn’t beat Liversless Michigan Today)

I think we jump Illinois if we win the tournament. Illinois would drop to five and we would move to four. But we win out. Losing today leaves us around 6, still a second seed and lined up to play Kansas in the Sweet 16 game-if we win the first two.

And, it will be OSU in the Final, if the Hawks can get there.
