For those interested:
Below is a breakdown of Big Ten recruiting for 2014 and 2015. One class doesn't always tell a story but you can usually draw some conclusions over the course of two recruiting classes of what a program might look like in a few years. This research is based on the 247 Composite rankings which combines the ratings of recruit on all the major sites for one composite ranking. This tends to eliminate any one bias or outlier from a specific site to give the most accurate snapshot of what is happening. This list show 4-star and 5-star recruits in one column and 2-star recruits in another column. This shows who is bringing in the high end talent and at the other end of spectrum who is bringing in the lower rated prospects that are filling up the roster. Star ratings aren't always accurate. There are numerous examples to cite. However the positive and negative examples are spread out across all programs and composite rankings tend to even it out. Note: some programs like UM have taken much less players over a two year period which impacts this list. Still some decisions to be made that could impact final list.
