A Majority of House Republicans Vote Against Aid for Ukraine

Notice how when US troops got too close to China, they joined the war. China views NK as a buffer between them an U.S. troops.
Notice how the Korean War was from 1950 - 1953, and was about NK invading SK, and SK was defended by the UN, not just the US.

China intervened when the UN forces crossed the Yalu river into NK. This wasn't because China needed a buffer; it was because China supported NK because of NK support for the evolving Chinese communist state after WW II.

It doesn't mean that it is appropriate to do so. You don't get to control another nation to your wants and desires. Especially when you have shown previous history of attacking such boarder countries.
Never said it was appropriate,.. just said it was a fact.

The Yalu River is the N Korea/China border. UN forces never crossed. The Chinese did. And the US couldn't stop it.

There will be maybe a half million more Ukrainians alive at the end which won't matter in 20 years politically and Russia will never be able to control Ukraine outside of Donbas and Crimea. The Soviets had a hard time into the 1950s. Vietnam and Afghanistan say hello...

Okay Xi. Glad we have someone here that’s in the minds of the CCP.

Why was the Yalu River important in the Korean War?

North Toward the Yalu River - Korean War Legacy

Meanwhile, South Korean forces, on the general's orders, streamed toward the city of Unsan on the way to the Yalu River, which separated China from North Korea. Foreign Minister Zhou Enlai of China had warned the general more than once that if UN troops approached the Yalu River, the Chinese would enter the war.

It was a question. I am assuming that is why that kidding aside?
You asked a question in the "have you stopped beating your wife?" genre.

If you wanted to have reasonable discourse you would have divided it into 2 questions:

1. Will Russia push into Europe if we yield on Ukraine?
2. If that happens will our defense budget go up?

My answers:

1. Probably not.
2. Sure.

I think Russia would love to reclaim the Baltic countries but would move on Georgia first. Ukraine's bitter resistance has exposed some of Russia's weaknesses and slowed their expansionist agenda.

A MINORITY of Republicans voted for it.

Go back and re-read that until it sinks in for you. Your party is fully in FAVOR of Putin and Fascism.
Or, they are in favor of saving some money and not being the policeman of the world?

Covid was far more deadly, and expensive, because the orange jackass was in the White House. If he had been re-elected, that virus would still be ravaging the country. Fortunately, we have a competent government that quickly brought the pandemic under control.

Again, republicans and MAGA do not care about debt and spending. History has show us this repeatedly over the past 44 years. Those are only an issue when a Democrat is in the White House.
WTF…the production of the COVID shot began while Trump was still in office.

I wonder how much of that goes to CEO compensation and profits? Or middle men? Or kickbacks and other corruption, here and Ukraine (and points between)?

For every dollar spent, I wonder how many pennies of actual gear Ukraine receives.
So I get the feeling you were against sending more to Ukraine?

They most certainly wanted to keep NK as a buffer.
The Korean Peninsula was Japan’s historical route into the Mainland.
The Yalu river is the border between North Korea and China.
The approach of UN forces to that border triggered China’s response.

Considering what China suffered at the hands of the West in the preceding 100 years, they definitely didn’t want colonial puppets on their border.

In the least surprising news ever, Ukraine gets $60 billion, Ukrainians lose more liberties. What a sick joke.

Herr Zelenskyy planning to dump
