This is tantamount to saying a County Attorney that is a member of the GOP or Dem party can't prosecute anyone because they are biased.
And nothing has been proven. Further, how does that impact the prosecution? Does Trump nailing a porn star affect his ability to POTUS?
They don't have to prove it, with her incredulous claim of cash reimbursement to her boy friend, the appearance of impropriety now exists,.. No, Trump's nailing of a porn start doesn't affect his ability to POTUS.
Then any defense could do this. "Prosecutors are shady, your honor. Can't prove any of it, but they've got to go!"
It’s not about the effect on the case. It’s irrelevant to the case. I don’t think she pursued this prosecution so she could name her lover special counsel and funnel public money to him for her benefit. It’s ridiculous.
However, she screwed up big time by appointing an unqualified lawyer to this role (likely because of the personal relationship), she’s created a huge distraction that takes the focus and attention off the case, she’s tainted the case in the public eye, and I think now she’s compounding it by lying.
So Holiday Inn, if appearance is the standard, you agree at least Justices Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh should be off the bench, yes?
Unqualified? Wade was in charge of the Grand Jury process. And he secured 19 high level felonies. He's done a fantastic job as prosecutor so far. You're just making stuff up.
Defense counsel (female) right now is making an asshat of herself. 1st rule on cross-examination, don't ask a question you don't know the answer to.
He does not appear qualified for this case. You do not pick a lawyer who has never prosecuted any RICO case to have his first one be against a former President.
Granted, I haven't been able to watch it all....and there is more to go..., but I think State prevails. That is coming from a former defense attorney.

Not sure you're quite up to date on your info. She pursued more qualified prosecutors before Wade. They turned the job down for fear of Trump supporter death threats. That we got Wade at all is lucky. We should be thanking him, not bashing him. It looks like nobody else wanted the job.

It is interesting to watch democrats attempt to explain away or excuse her conduct in this obsessive need to convict Trump.
There are all kinds of reasons her conduct threatens this case including her behavior should be investigated for legal sanction or to be disbarred and whether criminal charges are warranted. A complain should immediately be filed with the state bar association and the stare AG should be investigating her conduct for criminal complaints. Considering the nature of this case and what she admitted to doing in the stand a federal investigation and charges may also be warranted.
The case against Trump absolutely can move forward but it has been damaged by the fruit of a very poisoned tree. A prosecutor willing to conduct herself in the manner she had demonstrated including her behavior on the stand is one that would absolutely lie elsewhere. Even these plea deals she secured should be reviewed for improper conduct on her part, wades part, and her office.

It's what we really need to be focusing in on. Trump crimes, his supporters threatening people. But instead people want to cry foul because the few prosecutors still willing to pursue justice happened to boink on the side.

I should’ve said arguably unqualified. I still stand on the rest of my points, though. Willis is a mess and an embarrassment.
Before Willis got involved, there was ample evidence of Trump threatening GA election officials. Graham made phone calls as well, though they apparently didn't rise to the level of a threat. There was absolutely no reason for either one of them to be directly involved with counting votes.
There were tons of articles questioning why him. His experience would not have made him stand out as a choice for a case of this importance. At very best, she saw something that she thought made him a good choice. And even if he was on the team, why pay him so much more than the other two?
And now to find out they were in a relationship, going on vacations together, allegedly paying her own way in cash (right…). It’s just terrible judgment all around.

This claim is wrong. You’re either misinformed or willfully ignorant. The standard for removal is not “the appearance and of impropriety”.
