I feel better about the talent we have next year on offense than what we have on defense.

At a quick glance, I would not at all be surprised to see Lainez leave, along with Cade (assuming he can talk the NCAA into giving him another year). I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a RB or two enter the portal, although I thought the same thing last year and it never happened. I also think our WR room is still a work in progress, and I would not be surprised to see a couple guys look for a better fit somewhere else.

And we can probably expect to see at least one or two unexpected departures … potentially guys making “business decisions” as such.

…was the point of the game after which I knew we would lose. Up until that point, I really thought we would grind out a W. Yeah, Sully had just thrown the bad pick, but the D immediately blew up their swing pass and put them into what should have been an impossible 2nd and 28. We were about to get the ball back, and the running game was generally picking up at least a couple first downs each possession. Once the flag flew on the sideline though, I knew it would be at least 3 for Mizzou. Just inexcusable to bail them out like that.

Kirk had already gone into turtle mode, but being a tie game now it was inevitable he would pucker up even more and try to play for OT. It was all over but the shouting from the moment of that flag on. I’m sure that dickwad Mizzou coach knew he had the game won at that point, too.

4 to 1 in OT with some minor controversy at the end. Was very close and definitely could be reversed come ncaas (don't think they will meet up again prior).

Penn State still went on to massacre the Tigers, winning 41 to 3 (Missouri also lost to little rock tonight). Not a good looking team for Missouri this year, but Penn state may also have the best team in ncaa history this year.

Is there a worse P4 WR room in the country? If so, there aren't many. Of course it starts with the QB, but I think I've seen enough from Tim Lester that he can scheme a decent to good offense with a game manager at QB. However, Iowa needs WR talent that can separate, make contested catches, and stretch the field horizontally and vertically. Right now they have nobody that can do that. They have guys that can do 1 but not all 3. Sadly the transfer portal doesn't look like it's going to help out in this regard.
