    That isn't how redshirts work. If he hasn't used a redshirt and he doesn't wrestle this year then this year is his redshirt year. Multiple years lost due to injury and you apply to the NCAA for medical hardship and generally an additional year of eligibility is granted.

    You need the talent, but you also need the development. Talent with a diminished development environment is going to have a lower ceiling than similar talent with a stronger development environment. So, if Nagao wants to win a championship or two he made the better choice.

    With 12 bonus points and 10 5th place finishers the team scores about 117 points. Still second place. With that said, the Hawks aren't getting 10 AAs anytime soon. A finalist with 5 other AAs is a pretty sold Hawk performance. No real reason to expect a sudden up tick in team performance.
