    Losing Estrella killed us. She beat the 1 seed (and NC wrestler) 9-0 and that would’ve put Luft at 130 where she’s more natural and has more ways to win than Frost. Also wish Felicity was at 123 for the team but that’s selfish of us as fans to interfere with her personal goals.

    Yea I guess I was trying to say his top end potential isn’t 5th but could be 3rd. I think he could realistically end up 3-R16 like he finished last year. Draw is totally a factor plus someone like Ramirez last year could get upset as well and knock him out early.

    Look a lot has to happen but if PK took 3rd I wouldn’t be shocked. He’s ranked 5th by Flo, Devos is 4th and I think he can win that match, and Mekhi has already considered quitting the sport multiple times. If he loses before finals he may dip which moves people up another spot.

    Agreed. Just saying how I thought it would be broken down. There’s no specific criteria and they generally look at the whole body of work which is why sometimes there’s weird seeds.

    Real, Lemley, and Hardy are essentially a 3 way tie. Something arbitrary will break the tie. Lemley didn’t wrestle against Mendez so that should hurt him as well.

    My guess is Real is the 3 seed. He’s the returning big ten champ and is ranked 2nd nationally. I think that matters in the coaches minds and puts him on the top of the 3-way. Same reason Hamiti will be 1 and Mesenbrink 2. Hamiti won big tens last year and is ranked higher nationally.
