“Shut up about egg prices!”

I blamed egg prices on bird flu before the election and I blame egg prices on bird flu now. And I really don’t understand why either side has made such a huge deal out of it anyway.
Because idiots on both sides love to find stuff to b!tch about! That’s why! Any excuse to get into a pi$$ing match.

Dems finally caring about egg prices after biden killed hundreds of thousands of chickens on his way out the door is peak dem.

Create a problem > ignore it while in power > immediately blame opposition when kicked out of power

It's literally the same playback as kids in cages and that is why so many people say the left is incapable of learning/evolving.

It's kinda funny at this point how little you guys are running on to fill your emotional tanks.

Trump links an article on social media that contains tons of information, one piece of which is the headline, the article you are currently reading acknowledges prices are not his fault, agreeing with the post from..... Charlie Kirk.

Dems... REEEEEEEEEEEEEE
90 days are coming up fast, Whis. Stock Market sucking, trade wars, grocery prices. Should all be under control at 90 days….

Well, this is the actual cause (and notice how nobody is actually debating the method we are using to deal with this). However, Trump voters used it as a way to justify their vote for Trump and Biden voters saw it for what it is: They have other reasons for voting for Trump that they don't want to talk about publicly so they made up this bullshit to make themselves feel better.

So now they get to be reminded of that every second of every day.
Yep. They are okay with sexual assaults. They are okay with pedophilia. They are okay with stealing top secret documents. They are okay with voting along side American Nazis. They are okay voting for a 34 count felon. They are okay with HORRIBLE human beings. The list goes on and on.

No.

It is not enough. Trump won the presidency by promising to lower prices and he specifically called out eggs on numerous occasions. He said he would solve it even though any person with at least a handful of neurons knew that was impossible.

He said it was a Biden’s fault. He said he would fix it. He is doing the opposite so now he owns it - full stop. Feel free to ignore threads or users who annoy you, but this needs to be a steady drumbeat so the swing voters wake the f*ck up as to who they put back in office.

That is why this needs to be continuously shoved back in his face. America should not accept lies from one side only for those lies to be excused or ignored later because you are tired of hearing about it.
It's so much easier to concentrate on egg prices that were already up when he took office and say see Trump lied about day 1 egg prices than to do any kind of self-evaluation to why the swing-voters believed him or trust him more than they trusted your candidate to bring them down.

Hint: it probably had more to do with the years of lying by the previous administration that this was even an issue than Trump making a promise most reasonable people understood he couldn't fix on day 1 just because his name is Trump not Biden.

Don't need to, I can buy a dozen eggs with the and with the $ I saved on the tank of gas over Biden prices and have $5 left for services from OPs mom.

Couldn't resist. The president has little to do with these things in the short term, but it's still a fun talking point for whoever it benefits at the moment.
My mom is too classy for any wop.

Gas prices are about the same. They’ve dipped that low plenty of times during Biden’s tenure too.

But, yeah, we’ll go with egg prices are Biden’s fault and gas prices are because of Trump.

Never change, MAGA. Never change. 😂

Him not controlling the pandemic is on him and team blue. And team blue, as was the execution of the birds. That was a willful policy choice (a bad one, obviously).

And how exactly does one “control “ a flu outbreak? You control people were on that problem quickly trying to get it under control?
It’s not a snap of the finger issue. Come on man . Look I don’t have a horse in the race but a little common sense here is in order ….

I’m not sure if a single day has passed since the inauguration that I didn’t hear someone bitching about how Trump campaigned on egg prices and hasn’t done anything to bring them down.

I get sarcasm. But at some point, enough already.
You know he didn't really campaign on egg prices. He campaigned on the economy and said grocery prices were high. he said that like he'd found a new word... 'groceries'. He said he was going to bring prices down immediately. he hasn't done it. he said he was going to cut the cost of energy in half... he hasn't done it. he said he was going to do those things day 1. He said he was going to end the war in Ukraine day 1. He has not done it. He campaigned on a bunch of lies that the lemmings in the cult believed. That's what people are pointing out daily. The bunch of lies that the lemmings work so hard daily to try to minimize or dismiss. I've never seen people work so hard to try to cover up for the person that's lying to them bigly.

Amazing thread. I am a bit concerned that a good portion of posters didn't understand the nature of the tongue-in-cheek egg comments on the forums. It seemed pretty damn obvious to me, especially as a person that loves a good egg joke. That makes me wonder what other jokes they are completely missing.

The egg jokes will continue until the prices are acceptable.

I don't know that the lemmings in the cult understand sarcasm, or the equivalency of the egg conversation. They're taking it literally, showing their ignorance.

"We had to kill the birds and raise egg prices. There was no other choice."

Gotcha. Team blue owns this.

Don’t get me wrong, I am 100% on board with the idea that the Dems were completely out of touch with swing voter concerns. They absolutely screwed the pooch by failing to addressthose concerns and on how they talked about the economy. While I’m not a dem I was also completely out of touch on the topic and learned a hard lesson about my own cognitive biases last November - I just didn’t realize how much inflation was hurting swing voters. I was completely tone deaf. The GOP did a great job of hammering that message.

I personally wont make that mistake again and I hope the Dems realize that too. The point stands that these folks voted for price reduction and Trump’s current measures will only raise prices. As an avowed never Trumper this message must be repeated constantly.

"Presidents can't control prices!!!!!"

Then - "why didn't Trump fix prices in 2 days!?!?!?"
Well obviously it was (D)ifferent before..

How much crow are you prepared to beat when/if you're wrong and trump ultimately delivers lower prices and a successful economy?

I wish I could see a sign of easing over current prices, but things remain scrambled. If no one grabs the yolk to steer things back on course I’m afraid we will all be fried. Hopefully Trump lays an egg on this once shell shocked voters realize his sunny-side messaging is cracked.

I'm not traveler, but I will GLADLY eat a huge helping of crow if trumpity delivers lower prices and a successful economy. Because I'm a (former) republican which means I'm all about me. And low prices and a booming market are good for me.

As it is, I expect trump to perform like Iowa Wrestling did this weekend unfortunately.

Won't be a team trophy again this year if they wrestle like that in 2 weeks

Well you and I have a bet and I will happily write that check in your name to the children’s hospital if I lose that bet.

I would honestly rather be wrong than right. I don’t want to see America in a prolonged recession. Unfortunately my thirty years in business make me confident I am right on this, but I also recognize it is impossible to predict the outcome with 100% certainty. Too many moving parts and Trump is too chaotic to figure out what the hell he is going to really do.

The link I posted above to trump's press conference standing in front of groceries should be required viewing for every dipshit that voted in Agent Orange because of his lies.

These numbers are baked in, pricing is changing and soon it will be poached data to support whatever agenda you prefer. Our economy has been coddled with government money being spent, don't worry, all will end sunny side up.

Then - "why didn't Trump fix prices in 2 days!?!?!?"
Bro, the mother ****er ran on fixing egg prices FROM DAY ONE. No anti-Trump voter ever believed he would fix it, let alone on day one. The point is that’s what Trump said. From the horse’s mouth—that’s what he said. Lol. And stupid people actually believed him and voted for him.

Now that to the surprise of no one sane it hasn’t come to fruition, people are rightfully mocking Trump for yet again lying and being full of shit. And, of course, MAGAt lackeys like Charlie Kirk are telling people to stop talking about egg prices, which Trump posted on social media.

The whole thing is as laughable as it is predictable.

I have pointed out many times that his idiotic nicknames for his opponents are boorish and juvenile.

And I have already been voting Democratic in many elections. If you paid attention to the words I actually write instead of basing all your replies on your preconceived notions, you would know that. You would know that I have never voted for Trump in any election. You would know that since 2020 I have vowed to vote against any candidate who supports Trump or seeks Trump’s endorsement.

You would know that I voted for Biden and Harris. You would know that I have voted for Greg Landsman twice - once in 2022 against Steve Chabot and again last year against Orlando Sonza. You would know that I voted for Tim Ryan over JD Vance and Sherrod Brown over Bernie Moreno.

In fact, about the only prominent Republican I have voted for in recent elections is Mike DeWine. And that was mostly because he acted like an adult during COVID.

Thanks for the context and agree with @RollingBallofButcherKnives for such a well versed political specimen, you can surely understand why egg prices would be hammered? All we heard from the exit polls were that people cared about the economy and the how inflation has increased prices. That should be hammered into people's head everyday until 2026 and then until 2028. You prefer people quite brining it up for some reason?
