I'm proud to say that I have always known that Kid Rock effing sucks.
Whenever I rewatch Joe Dirt I'm like "I forgot Dennis Miller existed."
I gotta admit (this has nothing to do with his politics, I've felt this way since he first started getting airplay) - I cannot think of one song he's ever put out that was even remotely close to being good or original.
I simply never understood how the hell he sold records.
Devil With A Cause. Was mostly a Run DMC tribute album.
The duet with Sheryl Crow isn't bad. I don't know if i could name another song of his.

In his defense, there are plenty of other recording people (aka “artists”) who achieved similar fame on equal lack of merit. He is not uniquely horrible in that regard. But he is quite bad.
Kid Rock started out as a rapper then found out he could make money playing the hick role.
In his defense, the white boy rapper from Detroit job went to someone else.

Probably because Kid Rock grew up rich and removed from the stuff that most rappers rap about. Eminem used to kick his ass in rap battles when they were both coming up.

Agreed. I'm not even an Eminem kind of guy, but it was a pretty solid movie.
Dennis Miller is awesome IMO. Loved him on Monday Night Football.
It was a weird time. Godsmack, Limp Bizkit, Sugar Ray and Creed...it makes sense that Kid Rock was able to break through.
I rewatched a couple years back and it was much better than I expected. Loved it when I was 13 and a huge Eminem fan like everyone else but kinda expected it to be like going back and watching Ernest Goes To Camp but it holds up.
He did, he interviewed Joe Dirt to setup his story. I love that movie.

Same. Had a bunch of family members go to the show he had in Monticello years ago. I had no desire at all. Stayed home and watched Hogan’s Heroes reruns (probably).
