That is one good positive. As much as I loved winning the BTT last year, I felt like playing that late hurt us in the ncaa. It seems like the years Iowa has won the BTT they have a 1st round loss. I don’t have the stats to back it up, but my recollection is it has happened to a lot of BTT champions. If it is the case, why the B10 doesn’t move its tourney up is beyond me. You’d think they’d want their most recent hot team to be well rested for the tourney that really matters, especially since the conference hasn’t lived up to expectations in it as of late.
I say it again: Fran's teams continue to do jack shit in the postseason.

They will be a lot more rested than last year's team after 4 games in 4 days. Woulda been nice to get that one but my point is it's all about next weekend. If they win 2 nobody will care about this one and done
This team can’t beat the bottom of the big ten and is garbage on the road (except for 1 game). You think we have a shot against a middle tier big 12 or big East team? 😂

I remember people like you flipped out after we lost to Easern Illinois and the first 3 Big games. I didn’t. It’s an up and down season with lots of parity and I try not to get too high or too low after wins and losses. But you should by all means proceed with self immolation.

Fran might be up for the NCAA tourney career Futility award....is there another coach with as many NCAA appearances and no sweet16s? The statistical odds of not being able to win 2 games in a row for this many appearances is pretty low.
And he cant recruit an above avg pt guard let alone an all big ten pt guard.

Well it is apparent watching that game where their guards were zooming and penetrating to the rim much more and easier than us, and faster, that athleticism was in OSU's favor. Our guard play besides Perkins was really below average today.

Iowa started out as a 1.5 point favorite today. The difference between the teams was minuscule and was always going to be a tossup game on a neutral site. Don’t act like we were playing Northwestern circa 1989 here.
One of those players is not like the others and a big part of Iowa’s problems in March.
I love when people use a rivalry game at home to rationalize something- as if anything about the CyHawk games are rational.
I love when people move the goal posts.ISU is the only Big 12 or Big East team we’ve played, there are no other examples to draw from, though we did beat an upper tier ACC team on a neutral court in Clemson.

Well if you played sports you surely understand that it’s easier to get yourself mentally prepared to play a big game against a tough opponent. It’s harder to mentally prepare yourself against a lesser opponent. That’s where coaching comes in—to get your players to treat and prepare for every game the same. I can’t believe I just had to explain that LOL
