This has probably been discussed by the Noles here...but why is FSU playing GT in Ireland?

It’s the Aer Lingus College Football Classic (a cunning name for a football series).

It started out known as the Emerald Isle Classic with a couple of games in the 1980s and then was played periodically, under various names. Recently it has become almost annual. Last year Notre Dame player Navy. The year before that, Nebraska played Northwestern. Next year Iowa State is playing Kansas State.
