Part of it is on Tua. He needs to learn from Joe Burrow and quickly give up on plays that aren't going to work and get rid of the ball. As Big O and others have pointed out, most of his injuries pro and college have come from him holding the ball too long or moving around in traffic trying to extend plays.
He would also take a lot of pressure off himself and the OL if he gave up on the play call and ran when the entire defense has dropped back and is giving him 10 plus yards of open field to run. There was a good thread about this on FH last week. Steve Young did this every game and kept doing it until the defenses adjusted.
The above being said, the OL is still awful. It is basically 2.5 quality players and then trash. We expended a lot of resources on Austin Jackson and Eichenberg and they are both terrible.
