11-year-old girl kills herself after 6th grade classmates allegedly bully her about immigration status, threaten to call ICE to have parents deported

JFC. First, your post to which I responded questioned whether or not he was a bully.

To address your new argument; I said a President inspiring bullying was “new.” Would you like to modify it to only refer to post Civil War timeframe?

I actually agreed he fit the mold of a bully, and the coverage he gets is warranted.

But it’s not “new”. It’s happened often. How about the internment of Japanese Americans in the 1940’s? Lots of dark history in the US. Trump is not the first nor will he be the last to inspire hatred or bully others

It's unfortunate that kids will always bully other kids in school, it's been happening for decades.

Even when the person being bullied and their parents say something to the principal, the bullying usually continues until something drastic like this happens.
The girl’s death came after months of relentless taunting by her sixth-grade classmates at Gainesville Intermediate School, a fifth and sixth-grade school located some 70 miles north of Dallas, according to comments her mother, Marbella Carranza, made to Univision.

The bullying was due to the girl’s Hispanic ethnicity — culminating with threats from other students that they would call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on her parents, her mother told the network. By the end of her life, Jocelynn attended counseling between once and twice per week due to the bullying, according to her mother.

If this has been going on for 6 months it started during the Biden Presidency. With the young child going to counseling twice a week due to the bullying it is quite apparent the bullying was known to the school, this is a situation where the teachers involved should face criminal prosecution along with school administrators. If criminal prosecution of school employees starts taking place the bullying will be addressed in a more urgent manner by the adults.

Glass half full: MAGAs still have enough decency to realize this looks bad and will deny and deflect. That's much better than openly celebrating it.

Glass half empty: That means they aren't at rock bottom yet and will keep digging

this is why we should be allowed multiple responses.

I agree with it. Like. But it makes me sad because this is where we are and instead of posting "wow, how sad", the usual suspects go into defend unacceptable behavior mode, sad face. It also made me laugh cause it's so sad and pathetic, laughy face.

Calling jusse smollet! Nice that you dropped the word ALLEDGEDLY from the title you ****ing loser! Well were the ILLEGAL??
That's not how you spell ALLEDGEDLY. Also, what were you trying to convey with "Well were the ILLEGAL??" I bet you got bullied a lot by 11 year old girls for being in remedial spelling & grammar.

FDR was a world class jerk in private but you cannot compare his public persona to Trump at all, no.

He did however stoke the fear of Japanese Americans, many of who were second generation. The difference in accessibility and constant coverage makes it hard to compare.

You could very well be, probably are, correct though.

Yeah, I'm sure a 6th grader bullying a classmate is politically motivated.
