He also had to cover a ton of targets last year because No one wanted to throw to King's side. Trust me, it could have been way worse with someone besides Mabin. I thought he handled last season extremely well.
 
I thought he got beat a lot the first half of the last season, but the 2nd half he played really well and came up with some big stops. I think he will have a very good season and make a lot of plays for the Hawks. He will get thrown at a lot, so he may be a key to our defense this year. Hope he keeps improving and helps Iowa have the best CB's around.

Wrong again Dawg. I called Mabin adequate, I've seen Iowa players called a helleva lot worst on this board. Couple of QB's named Jake come to mind. I hope Mabin proves me wrong this year. I just don't think a three year starter should have a "break out" year. What's been going on the last three? Not a troll just don't have rose colored glasses on all the time. He will get picked on alot because of King, more chances to make plays IMO.

Can't say I agree with you on three your starters not having breakout years. The pace of development occurs at different rates. Mabin improved a lot last year. Because of King, he will be targeted prolifically. I think this gives him the opportunity to have a big year.

I can buy that, I hope he does make it equally hard to throw to his side.

How am I wrong exactly? I never said you said the worse things about Iowa players just that you hate on Iowa on ALMOST every single post. Can you point to the last post you had that was something positive Iowa. It's not that you have to be all sunshine and puppies it's just that I can't ever recall you posting something that would indicate you really are a fan. Most of what i have read from you would indicate you can't really stand anything about Iowa football.

It's a pork day. Doing a few loins as well and oven baking some bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with honey pecan cream cheese. It's for a graduation party (not my kids) but helping a buddy out.

My friend with a jet reminded me he is Jewish. We won't be there for pork. :(
 
Interesting. I've had a labrum repaired in both of my shoulders and while I was near 100% 7 or 8 months later, I wasn't playing football. Then again, I wasn't in my early twenties.
