Respect Jacobsen for sticking with UNI...could have left for bigger $$$ couple years ago. Says alot about him.

UNI looks best when they pound it inside to Koch. Unfortunately for them, McCloud thinks he has to single-handedly win this game.
Purdue whipped AZ to give the #2 team 3 straight losses and a last place finish in their tourney. Weird beginning to this season.
UNI played Nova tough until last 4min and then fell apart. UNI will be a tough team for the Valley this year. Their PG is good and if Carlson can find his shot they will be a very tough team.
Preseason tournaments can be good and bad. Zona looked like a team who was on vacation and not interested in playing basketball. Is it possible to go from No2 in rankings to dropped out in 1 week???

People often discount the mental toll these holiday tournaments take. UNI, for example, losing a tough one to Villanova, had a serious challenge trying to flush that, refresh, and play Arizona a day later — never mind the physical challenge.
Really the only time college teams play back-to-backs is during these holiday tourneys.

Yet their route to last place doesn't hurt their SOS at all. That tournament was nuts.
