I think that is what it takes to make up for the implosion/1st round exit in BTT.

1 win and a good game. i dont mind if iowa gets beat but it sucks when they just collapse. i want to see a well rounded team playing team ball, and if we run into a better team then so be it.
Things gotta change, Iowa is on a losing streak. They had a scrimmage in practice and Iowa lost.
I disagree. Villanova probably does have more talent than Iowa. Iowa has two really talented players in Uthoff and Jok. Villanova has a team full of players that were highly ranked recruits coming out of high school. That being said, I'm hoping to see a win against Temple and a good game against Nova.
Touche. I disagree with you and I don't believe Villanova is more talented. I watched two years ago when we blew it against them. This has way less to do with any of the teams we play in the first three rounds and everything to do with how we play. We play like we're capable of for 40 minutes, nobody in the first 3 rounds well beat us. You're overselling Villanova and underselling the Hawks, I guarantee you that.
It will bolster our faith in Fran and showing us he can get the job done.
Regarding it offsetting the implosion/1st round exit in the BTT...it will only mitigate the sting.
For me, full redemption would be four wins.
I agree on redemption = 2 wins. That is as high as my bar is set for iowa hoops. A first round loss and I think there needs to be a coaches only meeting where they collectively agree to get better athletes in here and yes, that might include juco and transfers. Getting it done organically when you aren't Duke, KU, UNC, etc, is pretty difficult,
I just want to see them sac up and hit some shots at the end of the game, win or lose. If course it's more likely they win if they do that.
