2017 Softball

Iowa has a lot of non-D1 talent on the squad. Unfortunately those numbers are growing every year. Got to see a lot of them play given it was an inter-squad scrimmage. While a lot of them won't see playing time during the regular season, I think it hurts not having decent players around pushing the starters.

Iowa Softball is dead to me until Marla Looper is no longer the coach and Gary Barta actually makes winning a priority instead of making it part of a snappy, yet childish slogan.

I will be rooting for cranker's daughter to have a good season, but her personal success is as far as my interest goes anymore

Damn I hate to hear this.Never got to meet him in person but I had some very good private conversations with him.

My prayers and condolences to his family. From what I knew of him he was a great HAWKEYE fan that cared deeply for his HAWKS.

We're going to the Texas State tournament. Can't wait to watch them play.
