Thats true. Amazing he's already getting this kind of pub as a part time player last season. You can see it when you watch him play though, he's got STUD written all over him. Cmon AJ, senior year, Outland trophy winner, and national defensive player of the year! Sweet! It’ll be interesting to see if AJE ends up bouncing early. I’m guessing the opportunity will be there if he wants to (and obviously wouldn’t blame him for wanting to get paid), but the Epenesa family seems pretty all-in with Iowa, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him play out all four years.
Fant is going to be really good no doubt but I remember CJ Fed. Got so much pub but I never could see it. Iowa has such a good reputation at TE and yes CJ did fine in NFL eventually.Thats true. CJ Fed came in with the rep of being a good athlete with really good speed. I'm not sure where that guy went, but once he put on some weight at Iowa, he did not have downfield speed, especially not in Fant's class. It also took him a couple of years to pull his head out, and realize he was going to have to block, if he wanted to play. To top that off the guy had hands of stone. For all of his complaints about being under utilized, he dropped a lot of balls, and went down way to easy for a guy who was 6'7" and 255lbs. Dude gets drafted in round three, and then spends the day telling anyone who would listen that he was wasted at Iowa. Not a fan of the FED, sorry........Fant is going to be really good no doubt but I remember CJ Fed. Got so much pub but I never could see it. Can't disagree. Then incoming hype was never close to being realized. Phenomenal specimen though.CJ Fed came in with the rep of being a good athlete with really good speed.
