2024 BIG football

Will welcome 4 currently top 20 teams into the league.
That would double the number of current BIG teams in top 25.
If the goal of BIG was to pick up strong FB programs this looks very timely on the surface.

Very daunting for the Hawkeyes remaining a top division team in the league.
That said 3 of those new schools will lose 1st round QBs after this season so that should bring them back to the pack a bit.
Pac-12 has 8 teams in top 25 and look like the strongest overall league right now.
Going out in a blaze of glory?

Have to see how it looks in Dec.
One thing is obvious:
With portal and NIL, QBs are moving and balancing out college football.
At least 6 of those ranked PAC-12
teams have transfer QBs, like IOWA.

This will all work itself out. What do we REALLY know? Over the last decade plus most of the Pac 12 has been weak, and not a lot of really good defense's. Over the last 25 years KF has proven he can field a competitive consistent team. Most of the Pac, not so. We won't play them all every year, so that doesn't play into it either, even if they all stayed top 20 teams, and I'd bet a lot of money thats not going to happen consistently. Remember their going to have to start playing OSU, Michigan, PSU, Iowa , Wisconsin as well and not Cal, or the Arizona schools, or for that matter the other OSU, (the Beavers) who haven't been a top 20 tam for decades, and won't be staying their either. I have no more concern over playing Washington, UCLA or Oregon then I would of playing Minnesota or Wisconsin, or for that matter even Nebraska, all of whom have their own brand of rivalry/hatred for the Hawks.
