Watching Baseballnhas become so comedic. K zone just showing how shitty the umps are. We need to rid the game of the umpires mistakes.

That home plate umpire in the Cubs-rangers game is the greatest umpire ever.

They can get pitch calls correct instantly at a far higher rate than the way they're called now, just do it. Heck, they can correct calls in the field in the time that naturally occurs between pitches, just do it.

Waiting for the purists to come in and say it will ruin the game… that we need bad umps cuz it makes the game what it is.

The stupid thing was that I thought that ump in the Cubs-Rangers game called a pretty good game. A couple borderline calls that went both ways, but I didn't see anything egregious. And then he misses the foul tip in the Cubs favor. Kind of karma that they blew it, I reckon.

The ump's excuse is that he didn't see it or hear it, which I suppose, maybe?

Also seems odd that a foul tip isn't a reviewable play.

ALSO felt really odd that it was ruled a wild pitch and not a passed ball. It was neither, but how can you call a wild pitch on what is ruled a strike?

Prefer robo ump strike zone. Makes the game go quicker and less complaining by both benches is welcome.

As I point out regarding "The human factor"...

Ok, when the Cubs and Rangers are playing tomorrow, Kyle Hendricks hangs a curve to Adolis Garcia and Garcia hits it 460ft, Hendricks' mistake hurts HIS TEAM. Then Happ is at the plate with 2 on/2 out and hits a ball towards Garcia who mis-plays it into a 2 run triple, Garcis's mistake hurts HIS TEAM.

If Angel Hernandez is behind the plate doing his thing, it hurts EVERYONE, the Cubs, the Rangers, the broadcasters, the viewers, the beer vendor, the little kid who came out to watch Kyle Hendricks pitch and Adolis Garcia hit, and not watch ANGEL F-ING HERNANDEZ NOT KNOW WHAT THE STRIKE ZONE IS.
