Wow. Am I the only one the half- courter cost money? Sickening especially after losing money on the most blatant travel I've seen in a long time in the UNI game last night
Nope you and me are the same. Had UNI and felt good when they were up 16 in the second half. And then had a parley with iowa at 27.5 and the over at 151.5. Bad weekend just on those two games.
My wife told me to calm down and that Iowa still won by 27. Lol. I had them at -27.5. That little ahole acted like he was going to dribble out the clock too
You think so? I don't think he would be mad at his player taking a shot. I hope these kids don't think twice about betting lines.
Edit- if talking about shooting that up 30 then yes, Fran would kill that kid.
I’d never bet a game like this. Iowa should cruise, and did, but that means there’s just so much garbage time. I’d hate to lose a bet on a game I read correctly, but the losing team leaves 3 startersin and makes a late run on Iowa’s walkons.
Not when the over/under was like 152 for this game. That is a gift from the betting gods.
General rule of thumb is to not bet on Iowa games, but this one was too good to pass up.
I think the Iowa players were a bit miffed by this shot. When they deliberately ran out the shot clock to avoid running up the score even more than it was, the obvious reciprocal action by Southern was to NOT try and score. We seem to have been on the right side of end of game basketball etiquette a few times in the last two years e.g. Iowa St. and Illinois attacking Connor when he was clearly holding the ball to end the game.
